Jeopardy! Quiz
Reflection onI was so excited about this quiz maker! I've never been a fan of standardized testing on traditional scantrons as a means of testing a student's knowledge-- especially in art.
I've had the privilege of being able to experience non-traditional methods of testing that allowed me and my peers to compete, work together, and most importantly discuss the course material in a real life scenario. As a student I've done assessments in the form of group tests, Kahoot, structured critiques, and various games including Jeopardy (which happens of be my favorite gameshow!!!) For my quiz I decided to do a Jeopardy game board on Jeopardylabs.com. The difficulty of the questions are targeted for an Art 1-Art 2 class or high school level art history class. It is customizable to accommodate any number of groups and can easily track points. It also allows users to upload images which is very useful when all the questions are about art. Unfortunately the website doesn't allow you to edit the game once you've finished and saved it, so make sure you're writing all of your answers and questions in one sitting. The best thing about this program was that it was free! I used a different website prior to this and it charged to add pictures, videos, and other advanced features. It was also more difficult to use. |
